Colourful planting scheme in Sandymount

I designed this planting plan for a garden in Sandymount in July 2025, and a year later, it’s looking fabulous!
Jennifer and her family had recently finished some building work on their house, and the back garden was nearly a blank slate.
I met with them in July 2025, discussed their preferences, and came up with a planting scheme.
The design incorporated some plants they already loved, along with ornamental grasses, evergreens, and flowering perennials such as Agapanthus, Geranium, and Nepeta.
This planting scheme provides colour, texture, and interest throughout the year.
They did the planting themselves, and these are the photos Jennifer recently sent me.
It’s wonderful to see the garden do so well just one year later!
